Anambra2021 Governorship Poll Outcome: A Lesson For APC Leadership To Settle Party Crisis In Ebonyi

As the New era in Ebonyi State 2023 politics begins, may we draw the attention of the APC leadership and i Ebonyians that the declaration of Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo winner and his emergence Governor – Elect of the Anambra State Governorship Election by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) on the 9th November,2021 is a warning signal and case study for the APC leadership and the entire Ebonyians towards the 2023 general elections.

In a press statement released recently to journalists in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State. Signed by
Chief Alex Okemini

Consequently, the Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State, Alhaji DR.Haroun Ogbonnia Ajah, FIPMA, SFIARSA has commended His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari for his uncommon display of honesty, statemanship and level playing ground in our Electoral Process and for the Anambra State Governorship Election despite the fact that our great party-APC was on the ballot.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should also be hailed for conducting the election in a most transparent manner especially their bold intiative to transmit results electronically from the polling units.Prof.Soludo’s victory should be enough to create faith in our abilities, truth and trust to the part we feel right for channelling our passion to action.

This has also shown that for any political party to win elections henceforth in Nigeria, it must ensure that its house is in order and imposition of unpopular candidates avoided at all costs.

Power drunk cabals in Ebonyi State and beyond should note that it is no longer business as usual as the ordinary citizens are now having a say in the choice of leaders and INEC equally making sure that their votes count.

Ebonyians should stand against poor choice of leaders as that is response for the anti-peoples policies in Ebonyi State. It is a disservice to Ebonyians for leadership impunity, imposition and refusal to listen to the voice of the people when it comes to leadership positions to serve the interests of the masses.

This therefore requires alot of hard work, constructive engagement of all stakeholders and above all, delivering the dividends of democracy to the satisfaction of the ordinary people by the leadership of our great part-APC.

We appeal to Ebonyians and the APC leaders to ensure that the choice of who becames the next Governor of Ebonyi State is in the hands of Ebonyians come 2023.Democracy means, that the people must have a say in their governance for leadership that accommodates all without partisanship.

Therefore, the elections of Edo and Anambra States are good pointers for mobilization of the people to voting during elections.

We assure Ebonyians that, with the Alhaji Dr.Haroun Ogbonnia Ajah’s mandate to reposition our great party-APC in Ebonyi State, there is hope that the next government in Ebonyi State will provide the needed good governance of the next level progressive family in Nigeria so that ultimately we shall collectively achieve breakthrough in the Ebonyi Project 2023 by the Special Grace of God.
