JosMassacre: CONYSSA Condemns Attack On Travelers, Urge Police To Arrest, Prosecute Perpetrators

The leadership of the Coalition of Nigerian Youths on Security and Safety Affairs has registered her dissatisfaction with the attack released on the Muslim faithful along Rukuba Road of Jos North LGA, Plateau State.

The attack which was described as inhumane and barbaric was said to claim about 22 lives while 14 were brutally injured.

In a statement that was signed by the President of CONYSSA, Amb. Ade Mario, which reads in part: “it is quite annoying that innocent lives of our people could be wasted all in the name of religion, this is annoying and at the same time, disheartening.”

“On behalf of CONYSSA, I, however, hereby wish to appeal to other religious groups and our people from Ondo State whose kinsmen were brutally murdered to avoid any form of reprisal attack.”

“Tit-for-tat isn’t needed at this hour, most especially when we have had the assurances of the CP Plateau Command, CP Edward Egbuka that justice shall be fairly meted out.”

“We also want to use this medium to further appeal to CP to make sure that no stone is left unturned.”

“Furthermore, members of CONYSSA in Plateau State should energize with the Police Force, Plateau command in figuring out other perpetrators.”
