Nnebi-na-Asonye Autonomous Community, Umuariam of Obowo, Imo State Nigeria holds the annual new yam cultural festival(Iri-ji) on Sunday, 29th October, 2023 at the Queen of Peace Parish field, Umuariam Obowo LGA, Imo state.
This special announcement come from the throne and palace of His Royal Highness Eze ThankGod M. A. Adighiogu Ezeahurukwe of Nnebi-na-Asonye Autonomous Community, Umuariam/Achara of Obowo, Imo State Nigeria.

According to the statement, the chief host HRH Eze ThankGod Adighiogu is specially notifying and inviting the government of Imo State, Imo State 2023 gubernatorial candidates, general public to the 13th edition of the New Yam Cultural Festival (Iri-Ji) and the grand Finale of all the new yam cultural festivals to be hosted by Highness Eze ThankGod M. A. Adighiogu, Ezeahurukwe of Nnebi-na-Asonye Autonomous Community, Umuariam/Achara INEC Ward,Obowo LGA, Imo State, will be taking place on Sunday, 29th October, 2023, Venue: Queen of Peace Parish Church Field Umuariam Obowo, Time: 12noon.

Chief Everestus Ohameje said the date of these unique events and new yam cultural festival(Iri-ji) was carefully chosen to coincide with Nnebi-na-Asonye annual Get-Together celebration when all the sons and daughters both in Nigeria and in diaspora re-unite at home.
The Nnebi-na-Asonye Aut.Com, Umuariam/Achara INEC Ward, Obowo Holds A Grand Finale New Yam Cultural Festival(Iri-ji) will chaired by High Chief Emma Obasi, the Eze-elect of Alike, Obowo.
The general public of Nnebi-na-Asonye is equally advised to avoid putting up any other programme on that day, the statement reads.
