The Peoples Democratic Party PDP, has expressed optimism that the Court of Appeal sitting in Ondo state over the 2020 Governorship election will soon upturn Governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s pyrrhic victory in the state in no distant time.

The party disclosed this in its congratulatory message to Muslim faithfuls on this year’s celebration of Eid-el-Fitri.
The PDP in a four paragraph statement said: “We congratulate all our Muslim faithfuls who have in the last one month committed themselves to fasting and prayers for the country especially in the face of excruciating myriads of challenges ranging from economy to insecurity in the nation. May Almighty Allah accept your supplication and forgive our leaders their sins.

The party frowned at the parlous state of the country’s economy under the ruling APC while assuring Nigerians to keep faith in God as their calamities will soon be over.
The opposition party gave the hint in a statement signed by the Southwest Zonal Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Chief Sanya Atofarati this morning.
He lamented that hunger in the midst of plenty has been the deplorable trademark of an average Nigerian in the APC-led administration for the past six years.

According to the PDP spokesperson, “Even after fasting period was over, Nigerians would still have to live without food.” He said.
“One thing is certain, PDP will reclaim its stolen mandate in Ondo State because Gov. Akeredolu will loose in Appeal Court. We are also confident of PDP victory in both Ekiti and Osun states in the 2022 Governorship election as Nigerians are fed up with the APC.

He charged the Muslim community to remain steadfast in Allah after navigating the rigours of 30 days fasting only to return to a second wave of shocking reality of high cost of food and commodities in the markets.
