In press statement signed by the secretary general of the Assembly, Comrade Chidi Leo Chielo on 3rd March, 2023 in Enugu.
According to the statement, the victory of Labour party senatorial candidate Okechukwu Ezea defeating his counterpart of the PDP and the governor of Enugu state Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for the Enugu North Senatorial District in the National Assembly is true wish and mandate of the people.

Describing Ezea’s victory as a good and timely development, Comrade Chielo commended the Senator-elect for his courage, political dexterity and maturity.
” Okechukwu Ezea’s victory in the poll is a testimony to his general acceptability across board in Enugu North Senatorial District.
“The Senator-elect no doubt will take Enugu North Senatorial Zone to greater heights in view of his intellectual capacity, political and Legislative sagacity.
Igbo Youth Worldwide Assembly Worldwide urges the constituents and critical stakeholders in the zone to support the Senator-elect as he prepares to represent the people of Enugu North Senatorial Zone in the 10th Senate.
