CSOs Commends Enugu Govt, INEC For Timely, Adequate Preparations For Hitch Free Excise

The forum of civil society organizations in Nigeria and Coalition Of INEC Accredited NGOs/Observers for the 2023 general elections has called for Hitch-Free excise, call on politicians and youths to shun thuggery and violence. Also  applauded the government of Enugu state and National Independent Electoral Commission INEC for for timely and adequate Preparation of the forthcoming general elections in the state.

In a press release signed by Comrade Chidi Leo Chielo, National Coordinator and Mr Casmir Irekamba, National Publicity Secretary, on 23rd February, 2023 .

When  the forum od civil society organizations in Nigeria and Coalition Of INEC Accredited NGOs/Observers paid visits to the INEC Office in Enugu, for facts finding, the level of preparedness and measures put in place to ensure the conduct of the election is free and fair, the inclusiveness and participation of all the political parties in the forthcoming poll excise is highly commendedable and good example of democratic process and system. The statement reads.

According to the press statement, the National Independent Electoral Commission, INEC has shown professionalism and unbiased position in the preparation and process outlined for the forthcoming general election. The forum of civil society organizations in Nigeria and Coalition Of INEC Accredited NGOs/Observers commends the process and procedure put in place by INEC and the good security atmosphere provided by the Enugu State government to ensure that the exercise is conducted in free and fair atmosphere devoid of violence and acrimony.

In a working visit to some local government areas in Enugu State, the forum of civil society organizations in Nigeria and Coalition Of INEC Accredited NGOs/Observers perceived highly relatively peace, harmony, security of lives and property in state.

As many citizens and residents of Enugu state confirmed to the forum of civil society organizations in Nigeria and Coalition Of INEC Accredited NGOs/Observers that since the inception of the administration of Rt Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, as the executive governor and chief security officer of the state.

Enugu state has enjoyed a peaceful and conducive environment, the security of lives and property and infrastructural development is the primarily concerns of Ogburugburu to the citizens and residents of Enugu. The statement reads.

The citizens and residents showers praises to the Governor of Enugu State for being democratic and delivering dividends of the democracy to people.

They promise to come out emass to vote the candidate of their choice starting from Presidential/ National Assembly to Governorship/State House of Assembly elections because their vote and mandate will counts as the Governor Ugwuanyi is a true democratic and patriotic leader who always throws to the direction of the people.
