As the people and community of Isigwu General Assembly, Umana-ndiagu in Eziagu Local Government Area of Enugu State, elected new executives to pilot the affairs of the community for peace, development and progress in the next circle.
A human right activist and veteran journalist, Comrade Leonard Mattias Chielo(Jr) congratulated the new leadership of his Community Isigwu General Assembly as he describes the new elected leadership as ” a round Peg in a round hole”.
He appeals for the support and cooperation of the community and the people on the new leadership to succeed in their service to the community.
Comrade Chielo urges the new executives to explore their wealth of experience and steering qualities to serve the community and Isigwu General Assembly without fear or favour because the confidence reposed on them by the people is earned by their commitment, past records and integrity over the years.
The new elected chairman, Mr Silas Okafor who spoke unbehalf of the new elected executives of Isigwu General Assembly during the inauguration, expresses his leadership vision and plans for the socio-economic development of Isigwu General Assembly and the entire community, as well as his alignment with the aspirations of the people of Isigwu community would play a crucial role in determining the suitability of his leadership goals and objectives for inclusiveness of all.
His blueprint for the community will served as a road map in the development drive of Isigwu community, as he promised made social amenities available to all in the community by ensuring for the grading and maintaining the roads network in the community, he vows to restore the running pipe borne waters in the community, ensuring for constant and stable electricity & electrification in Isigwu community and environs.

Mr Okafor assures the Isigwu General Assembly of his unwavering commitment to restore the lost glory of the community to ensure for maintenance of peace, order, justice and rule of law in the community.
The names of the new elected executives of Isigwu General Assembly: Silas Okafor – Chairman, Aniako Francis – Vice Chairman, Godwin Chiaha – Secretary, Ikenna Egwu – Assistant Secretary, Emeka Mduabuchi – Financial Secretary
Others are; Bonaventure Chijioke – Treasurer, Kingsley Mgbachi – public relations officer (PRO), Titus Okechi – Provost 1, Ananyo Owuzulu – Provost 2 and Bath Elebechi Provost 3
Mr Silas Okafor while hitting the ground running, he announced the date for the community development launching to take place on Tuesday after Easter, 2024
