The eligibility requirements for the recruitment of short-term staff are as follows:
- Applicants under consideration for short-term employment must be a national of a member country of the Bank.
- Applicants must be permanent residents or eligible to work in the proposed country of employment.
- The minimum educational qualification required is a bachelor’s degree for grade levels GS5/6/7/8. For some specific positions at grade levels GS3/4, the minimum educational qualification required is a high school diploma, e.g., driver or office clerk.
- The relevant minimum experience required for grade levels GS5/6 is 4 years, GS7 is 5 years and GS8 is 6 years. The relevant minimum experience for grade levels GS3/4 is 3 years. Experience in international organizations will be an asset.
- A short-term contract shall not be offered to any person who has any of the following relationships with a regular Bank staff member: father, mother, brother, sister, son, daughter, or spouse.

PRIOR TO ASSUMPTION OF DUTY
New short-term staff will be required to provide the following:
- Proof of citizenship.
- Evidence of permanent residency or work authorization in the proposed country of employment (HQ) and Country Office.
- Updated CV.
- Scanned copies of certified educational qualifications.
- Completed professional reference form.
- Completed academic reference form.
- Completed relationship form.
- Medical certificate
- For returning short-term staff (STS) – a copy of duly signed “Check-out form.”
