The Royal Father made the Appeal during his yearly new yam cultural festival (Iri-ji) held on Sunday 29th of October, 2023 at Queen of peace parish church field umuariam Obowo.
The king of Nnebi-Na-Asonye Autonomous Community who spoke in Igbo Language challenged the Executive Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma (Onwa Oyoko) to hand over Imo State security to traditional rulers and see result under six months.
While commenting before cutting his own yam, Senator Patrick Ndubueze who is representing Imo North Senatorial Zone (Okigwe Zone) in the Red chamber thanked the Monarch for supporting and blessing him during his election and promised that the devidence of democracy will surely reach the king and his people.
It will be recalled that during the Senatorial campaign, while the people of Obowo LGA was supporting their own candidate, the traditional ruler of Nnebi-Na-Asonye single handedly brought Patrick Ndubueze of APC from Okigwe LGA to Obowo LGA, blessed and supported him through the conferment of chieftaincy title as “Ihe-Abata”. Note: since over twelve years that His Royal Highness Eze ThankGod Adighiogu accended to the throne, whoever he blesses wins election in his constituency.
