Eye witness told our Correspondent that his birthday party sponsored by Governor Obaseki is a rehearsal to launch Akpata into the consciousness of Edo people.

“Everybody knows that Olumide Akpata is Governor Godwin Obaseki’s mole in the Labour Party, just the same way he sponsored many Houses of Representatives and Houses of Assembly candidates in the last general elections in the Labour Party.

“A vote for Olumide Akpata in the Labour Party primary election is a vote for Godwin Obaseki to finally destroy the party.

“Obaseki’s actual plan is to ensure that Akpata gets the Governorship ticket of the Labour Party and force him later to step down for his godson, Barrister Asue Ighodalo few hours to the governorship election.

“At that time it would have been too late for the Labour Party to file for the replacement of Akpata as the candidate of the party”, the sources said.
