Jack Rich, Nami, Wushishi Bags International Youth Award Of Excellence

Three prominent youth-friendly Leaders in Nigeria have been recognized with an International Youth Award of Excellence for their contributions to the development of Youth in the Country.

The Award Ceremony was part of activities marking the 2023 International Youth Day, which has as its Theme “Green Skills for Youth.

The Ceremony also witnessed Public Presentation of a Book, titled Youth Rising: Harnessing the Potentials and Aspirations of Nigerian Youth Towards a Greater Nation, in honour of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, written by Hon.Ben Duntoye.

Among the Honorees were Engr Tein TS Jack Rich, President/Founder, Belema Oil Producing Ltd, a philanthropist known for his unwavering support of Youth Empowerment initiatives, and Mr Muhammad Mamman Nami, Executive Chairman Federal Inland Revenue Service, a visionary leader dedicated to uplifting the lives of young individuals through Education and Entrepreneurship.

Others include Prof Ibrahim Dantani Wushishi
Registrar, National Examination Council (NECO), who is doing great work to ensure the country produces Youths that can stand their counterparts across the globe through his Office.

The room erupted with applause and admiration as each Honoree received their Award, their achievements serving as a shining beacon for generations to come.

Their stories inspired the young audience and reaffirmed their belief in the boundless potential and opportunities the future holds.

Speaking on behalf of the Awardees, Prof Wushishi, commended the Organisers of the event and hailed the impact of Hon. Ben Duntoye, a former President of Pan African Youth Union (PYU) on Youth, not only in Nigeria but across African.

The NECO Registrar described President Tinubu as a great friend of the Youth as exemplified by his recent appointments not forgetting the past and how has made several people through mentorship.

Hon. Duntoye in his address at the occasion, explained that the Book is a product of his 25 years experience in Youth leadership service in Nigeria and across Africa.

“It is a compelling insight into the world of the Youth as it reflects deeply on the state of African Youth with focus on Nigeria.

“It is a book that will guide Youth Administrators and inspire millions of Nigerian Youth to greater heights in their respective endeavors.

“The 220 pages book critically x-rays issues of Youth Participation, Health, Youth Employment, Peace, Security, National Integration, Education, Youth Emigration, and Youth Tech.

He added that this very essential Book is Dedicated to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the Development and Empowerment of young leaders both in the Public and Private Sectors across Nigeria.

“It is on this note that the PYU, the umbrella body of Youth in Africa with consultative status at the African Union; the African Youth Resource Centre; one of Africa’s leading Youth servicing Organizations, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), the Nigerian Youth Parliament (NYP) and the Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC) have all agreed to dedicate this Year’s celebration to honouring this wonderful Role Model and Mentor through the Public Presentation of this Book” He concluded.
