Honourable Ajayi a seasoned, professional diplomat and sound management consultant disclosed his intention to contest for Chairmanship position of Oriade South Local Government Area, in the forthcoming council election of Osun State.
Gbenga disclosed that he was in the race to make the difference by creating a positive impact and building a legacy within the next three years.
Ajayi who has B.A in History and Internal Relations, University of Abuja, Diploma in chartered Institute of Public Diplomacy and management and Post graduate Diploma in Peace and Conflict Resolution in (View) Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.
He promised to ensure four legacy projects were completed within the first year in office, which Governor Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke would come to Oriade South to commission and inaugurate, as evidence of incredible performance with or without allocations from Abuja.
According to Honourable Gbenga Ajayi, “good and visionary leaders distinguish themselves in office at tough and difficult times of financial drought.

“I will ensure legacy projects that will outlive me in office are executed to the delight, progress and prosperity of Oriade South people,” Ajayi declared to the delight of the mammoth crowd.
The elders, women, youths and community leaders in separate comments, expressed delight with the declaration, endorsing Honourable Gbenga for the office and urging all sons and daughters Oriade South, both home and abroad irrespective of party affiliations, to take the project as their own to achieve the desired victory of Honourable Gbenga Ajayi as the next Chairman of the council.
