Nimbo Community in Uzouwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria has been attacked by suspected Fulani herdsmen leaving many dead and scores injured.
According to the villagers who were scared to reveal their identities the attack took place at Obie Aku and Opanda villages in Nimbo Community in the early morning of Monday.

They revealed that the suspected herdsmen began to attack the villages around 2 am leaving everyone with limited room for escape or even repel the attack.
News Center learned that trouble started in the community when herdsmen began to graze on the farms which resulted in the farmers chasing the herders away from the farm settlement on Sunday.

The witness noted that their community was attacked in less than twenty-four hours after the herders left the farm settlement.
It could be recalled that on April 25th, 2016, not fewer than fifteen people were killed, while dozens of people were inflicted with scary injuries forcing.
The attack many described as Nimbob Massacre forced the Enugu state government under the leadership of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi to set up a judicial commission of inquiry.

While the success or recommendations of the judicial commission of inquiry are still sketchy; about five years after, exactly on Monday, July 26th, 2021 the same community was attacked by suspected herdsmen for the second time;
According to the unofficial report from the community, leaving four people dead and many still missing at the press time.
While reacting to the development, the Police Public Relation Officer, Charles Ndukwe confirmed the death of three people and was unable to confirm those behind the attack.

Meanwhile, Nimbo as a community has been under series of unreported attacks, killings, and raping of their women by the suspected herdsmen.
