Owerri the city capital of Imo State was thrown into confusion, that halted businesses activities on Thursday, 11th February as a commercial sex worker killed her customer who refused to pay her after the sex marathon.
This incident angered the residents to razed the hotel, where the incident occurred.
According to our correspondent who arrived at the scene saw the Nigerian police and the fire service men working so hard to put out the fire.
Itwas reported that the commercial sex worker was enraged when her customer refused to pay the agreed amount after several rounds of sex and stabbed him to death.
Sometime after the hotel had been set on fire. Soldiers believed to be deployed from Obinze, 34 artillery brigade were seen trying to restore law and order.
When the Interim Management Committee chairman of Owerri West local government area of Imo state, chief Okechukwu Enyioha was contacted, he said that security agencies had taken over the scene.
While confirming the incident, the Council Chairman said, yes i have been briefed and the security men have taken over the scene of the incident.
The security agencies are working hard and the law and other being enforced, he said.
