Hon Ben Duntoye, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress, Dr Abdullahi Adamu on Civil Society has been installed as the Majeobaje of Ora Ayegbaju kingdom in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State
Duntoye in a carnival like investiture at the ancient town of Ora Ayegbaju was nominated out of his commitments to community development, unity and nation building.
The ceremony was witnessed by Governor of Kwara State, Malam AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq as the Special Guest of Honor and also a recipient of an Award of Excellence and other dignitaries.
The Olu of Ora Ayegbaju, Oba Dr Michael Ogunlusi in his address said “Duntoye was nominated out of his sheer commitments to Community Development, Unity and Nation Building.
He further said Duntoye has been unwavering in his supporter for Ora Ayegbaju Kingdom, adding that he is a modest young man whom others should emulate.
He further stated Duntoye’s empowerment of Youth and Women Groups across the Kingdom and beyond was noteworthy, hence, distinguishing him as a worthy son to receive such honour as Majeobaje, translated literally as “positive influencer and defender.”
In his Goodwill Message, the Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Mr Kayode Alabi congratulated Duntoye for the well deserved honor, while urging him to continue to be a good Ambassador, most especially to the younger generation.
Duntoye while addressing the gathering after the installation rites, commended the Olu In-Council and the entire people of Ora Ayegbaju for the honor bestowed on him
He commended the Governor of Kwara State for the good works he is doing for a new face and integrated development across the state and implored the people to continue to vote the APC all round in the forthcoming General Elections in 2023.
The new Majeobaje expressed his appreciation to his boss, His Excellency Sen. Dr. Abdullahi Adamu for his mentorship, fatherly and role model figure in his life.
This according to him has seen him in a continuous path of growth, stressing that the Turakin Keffi and Aare Obateru of Ile Ife has mentored him and has been more of a father for decades.
Duntoye Is a former Commissioner for Information and Communications in Kwara State and former President of the Pan African Youth Union who is currently the SSA, Civil Society to the APC National Chairman.
