Geometric powerplant: HRM Dr Ihenetu commends Gov.Otti, Says project ll’ boost Industrialisation Of Aba

The Eze Ndigbo Ghana, HRM Eze Dr Chukwudi Ihenetu, has described the recent commissioning of the 188-megawatt geometric power plant in Aba, Abia state as a strategic step that would accelerate the industrialisation of the Eyinmba city in the South East region of Nigeria.

In a special congratulatry, message from the revered Obiukwu Obieziokwu palace in Ghana to the governor of Abia state, His Excellency, Gov. Alex Otti, the Umuduruoha Amigbo Nwagele Imo state-born Royal Father, said the commissioning of the project during his tenure is evidence that he has come to liberate the state from the shackle of underdevelopment.

Eze Ihenetu described Governor Otti as a goal getter who has proved his worth in the banking sector, adding that with a governor like him in Abia, the state would soon undergo total transformation.

Similarly. Eze Ihenetu also salutes CEO Geometric Ltd. Prof. Bath Nnaji for delivering the projects despite numerous challenges that he faced while the construction of the project lasts.

On what Abia stand to gain from the project, Eze Ihenetu who described the project as the biggest investment in the southeast, said, aside revival of ailing industries, the power plant will ensure steady electricity and attracts new investors to the state.

While rejoicing with Governor Otti on these great accomplishments, Eze Ihenetu indicated interest in Igbo investors in the Diaspora to partner the state in the area of trade and manufacturing. “Most of us who left the shore of our country to foreign lands did that because of lack of infrastructure like steady power to grow our business. We are ready to invest in our country again if the leaders take drastic steps like you have done to put a conducive atmosphere in place,”he said.

While calling on other governors to emulate this giant stride, the Royal Father who is also the Assistant Publicity Secretary Ndieze Ndigbo in the Diaspora said: “I encourage all the governors in all the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria to emulate what governor of Abia State Sir Otti has done by providing power to all industrial zones in their states.

“The establishment of power plants is no longer as difficult as it was in the 70s. Now, we have smart power initiatives. Solar energy can even power a nation. Thank God the federal government has given the go-ahead for governors to provide power in their states. So they can also take advantage of this arrangement to move their states forward by embarking on smart power projects.

“When their is electricity, it promotes business and industrialisation, tackle insecurity, and give lifelines to small and medium entrprenuare. So I encourage all to key into these wonderful arrangements so as to make our country great again.”
