10th Senate: Igbo Youths Congratulates Akpabio, Urge Senators Collaborations To Achieve Good Governance

A social-cultural organization and the assemblage of youths in various clans and communities of Igbo extraction both home and in diaspora, known for promoting national unity and peace “Igbo Youth Assembly Worldwide has congratulated the former Minister of Niger Delta and ex-Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Senator Godswill Akpabio, on his historic election as the President of the Senate of the 10th National Assembly.

IYA Worldwide eulogized Senate President Godswill Obot Akpabio for his tenacity and commitment to the service of Nigeria.

In a press statement signed by President General, Casmir Nnadozie Irekamba and Secretary, Leo Chidi Chielo noted that Akpabio’s election comes at a time governance, under President Bola Tinubu, is being re-tooled for the benefit of the masses.

This, according to him, is to regain the trust and interest of the citizens in the national project of good and progressive governance for which the National Assembly, as the democratically elected representatives of the people must play a major role

According to Igbo Youth Assembly Worldride, the election of Akpabio as President of the Senate is a testament to the trust and belief his fellow lawmakers have in him to steer the ship of the 10th Senate.

“The process was free, fair and transparent and is a testament to the deepening of our democratic traditions and ethos.

Igbo youths asked senators to ignore their political differences in the interest of national unity and the country’s development. they also appeal to senators to support the legislative framework that will help the administration of Mr Tinubu achieve good governance.

IYA Worldwide urged the leadership of the National Assembly to work with their colleagues and use their positions for the progress, growth and development of Nigeria.

We at the Igbo Youth Assembly Worldride strongly believe that “the 10th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria” will be a senate for all Nigeria.

“We stand ready to work collaboratively with you, to move the needle of development, growth and progress of our dear country, in particular youth development and empowerment. Once again, congratulations and God’s more blessings” the statement reads.
