Sir Oswald C Okebata seats on the board of Bywood Community Association in Delawa County. He is committed to development of real democracy in Africa with particular interest in Imo state, Nigeria.

2023 Father’s Day Celebrations, Sir Oswald Chima Okebata KSC received an award of EZINWA AMBASSADOR by the All Saints A.M.E.Zion Church in recognition of his wonderful contributions to the growth and development of All Saints A.M.E.Zion Church Umuomumu Mbieri, Mbaitoli LGA, Imo State, Nigeria and his selfless positive impact and outstanding services to God and Humanity, which was received on his behalf by Comr. Ofoegbu Raphael Iwuchukwu, the Manager & Executive Assistant of Timjul Dynamic Services Ltd.
Special Father’s prayers were rendered to the awardees ,sir Oswald Chima Okebata, KSC and others, Benediction was also administered by Rev Obinna.
Bro.(Engr.) Humphrey Ukonu in his brief message eulogized the 2023 Father’s Day Celebrations Awardees and encouraged them to always be seen as VESSEL’S OF HONOUR unto the services of God Almighty and humanity.
Acceptance And Appreciation Speech By Sir Oswald Chima Okebata
In his remarks on the acceptance message, Sir Oswald Chima Okebata, KSC says “It is with great humility and call for service that i accept this award today”.
As a Christian fathe, i see this award as a call for me and all other Christian fathers to step up and accept the challenges facing our Christian community around the globe. God made man to be a leader and use his son Jesus Christ to show us what a true leader should be. The question we should ask ourselves today is are we leaders as Christ is to the world. He said.
As men and fathers our first leadership role must start with our families, when God bless you with a family that includes your wife and children as father it is your responsibly to guide and protect them from all evils of the world.
When we men take our family leadership role with the fear of God, our community will progress, and crime rate will reduce. Christian fathers should always put their family and Christ first in all things. Family is the first unite of government created by God when he made Adam and Eve.
When we put our family government under our leadership in order then the whole community will be in order.
Christian Fathers, we are required to not overlook our secular society. With all the evil going on now, most of us have bought the concept that we are to focus on our race to make haven. But remember that Christ show his concern of the things that was going on in the world when he was here with us ( Matthew 21:12:17) Jesus went into the temple of the God when he notice that thing were not going well.
The changes we need in our world today can only come to light when Christian men takes up their true position as leaders in our society. As I accept this ward today, I am calling my fellow Christian men to leader in your families, in your churches, in jobs and in your various communities. When we lead like Christ our communities are better and everyone benefit. Sir Okebata said.
The officiating Minister’s Sermon, Rev Obinna Eze
The officiating Minister, Rev Obinna Eze, in his sermon, emphasised on the theme of the 2023 Father’s Day Celebration titled “The Father’s Love”.
In his preaching, Rev Obinna stated that the Father’s Day Celebration is been observed in all the Anglican Communion across the globe and it commemorates the ideology of celebration of children and other family members to their Father. Rev. Obinna admonished Father’s to always be the head of their various homes and always endeavour to lead from the front.
He reiterated that the Love of a father to his family, the church and the community should be genuine, unadulterated and not filled with hate, suspicion nor any form of uncertainty that poses serious challenge to the peaceful coexistence of his family and betterment of the community he dwells.
Rev. Obinna buttressed that every Father that intends to succeed in Life, must be a giver and he emphasized on the importance of Father’s furnishing their wife’s and family members with gifts, as such act shows confidence and boost trust in the family.
More so, if a child approaches you as a Father with his problems and you decline, then obviously the child will be disappointed and leave which is ultimately wrong, but if you as a Father addresses the concerns of the child, definitely such a child will have overwhelming fulfilment and will always be proud of the Father, because such act has encouraged the child to believe and have Trust in the Father, the Rev. stated.
