A leading political group in Ebonyi State; EBONYI PROGRESSIVE ASSEMBLY (EPA)has warned against impending implosion in the APC Ebonyi State Chapter should Alhaji Dr. Haroun Ogbonnia Ajah, denied the APC State Chairman he won on the 16th October,2021.
The convener of the group Barrister Christian Nwakamma stated this when members of the OHAZIRI MBA RENAISSANCE MOVEMENT (OMRM) NATIONAL INTERVENTION TEAM led by Alhaji Mu’azu Abdullahi Jega visited him at the SPIRITUAL HEADQUARTERS of the Assembly at Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
Barr. Nwakamma noted that the resolution of the Assembly on the crisis of APC in Ebonyi State is a moral issue and the APC stakeholders need to meet urgently to study the resolution and take appropriate decision in favour of Alhaji Dr. Haroun Ajah as the Chairman of APC in Ebonyi State.
For justice and equity, Governor David Umahi has an important duty and responsibility to ensure power balance in APC for peacful coexistence of the old and new APC members. Engr Umahi cannot be a governor and still want his newly defected followers from PDP to provide leadership in a party they met original founders and originators like Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, Alhaji Mu’azu Abdullah Jega lamented that APC which use to be a peaceful Party is now a den of factions to the anger of President Muhammadu Buhari and warmed that APC may loose the 2023 general elections in Ebonyi State without proper direction.
We are looking into Governor Mai Mala Buni and his committee and Sen. Abdullahi Adamu Reconciliation Committee to be fathers and do the needful to ensure that Alhaji Dr. Haroun Ogbonnia Ajah is sworn in as the APC authentic chairman, Ebonyi State.
