Dare-devil gunmen whose identities are yet to be known have attacked Njaba Divisional Police Headquarters, Umuaka, in Njaba LGA, of Imo state, killing two Personnel and completely razing down budings and vehicles in the facility.

HOTMEDIA.NG learnt that the attack happened Friday night, July 31, 2021.
Both the Police Station and Residential Quarters were completely destroyed, and two Police officers reportedly lost their lives in the attack.
According to an eyewitness, “residents of Umuaka and neighbouring Okwudor were subjected to a long sleepless night of heavy gunshots by the attackers.”

“A lifeless body of a man was found at Okwudor Junction, with his head, hands and legs chopped off from his body. The identity of the victim is still unknown as at the time of this report.”
All efforts by HOTMEDIA.NG to get reactions from the state Police Public Relations Officer proved abortive as phone calls to his number was not answered nor returned.
