SNP, APCUPA Boss, Dr Chukwu Congratulates Tinubu, Lauds Buhari For Peaceful Elections

... Says Tinubu’s Victory Is The Wil Of God

Following the declaration of the APC Presidential Candidate as President-elect in the just concluded presidential elections, Dr Charles Chukwu, the President Save Nigeria Project, SNP and National Chairman of All Progressives Congress United Publicity Association (APCUPA) have congratulated Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory.

Dr Chukwu, who addressed pressmen in his office, in Enugu State described Tinubu’s victory as similar to the title of one of the literary works of Nigeria’s Noble Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka’s, “The Lion and the Jewel”.

Waxing literary, SNP and APCUPA boss pointed out that Tinubu’s victory reflected much the choice of Nigerians who put aside those he described as political Lakunle’s who campaigned within the frames of religion, ethnicity and regionalism for competence, experience and performance exhibited by Senator Tinubu.

“ Let me use this medium to thank Nigerians and congratulate the President-Elect, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress on his superlative victory in the just concluded presidential elections.

As APC Chieftain and Chairman of APCUPA, i am delighted that Asiwaju has despite the numerous challenges thrown his way emerged triumphant.

To me Asiwaju’s victory has rekindled my literary zest and reminds me of Professor Wole Soyinka’s book, ‘The Lion and the Jewel’ in which Nigerians from all walks of life , all over the country like the beautiful Sidi chose to wed competence, experience and performance as against other candidates who campaigned on the basis of ethnicity, religion and regionalism. “

Chukwu also described Asiwaju and the APC’s victory as a referendum on the party’s eight year stay in power, confirming that the party had done well and much deserved another term.

appealed to those who were unable to win to remain calm and be conscious of the fact that we have no other country but Nigeria.

“It is not uncommon that elections do bring dissatisfaction and grievances even in advanced democracies, but such dissatisfaction and grievances are pursued within the ambits of the law and our own should not be different, so as not to breed unintended consequences, which may be detrimental to the continued survival of Nigeria,” the group stated.

It urged political stakeholders to be careful and exercise caution in their behaviours and utterances in the interest of a peaceful transition of political power.

“We equally appeal to all our politicians to extend an olive branch to their counterparts across the divide, sue for peace to allow for monumental development of the country.”

The APC stalwart congratulated INEC for its efforts so far and implored it to muster courage and determination to ensure the successful completion of all the electoral processes. “We also appeal to them to continue doing everything humanly possible to improve the election processes.

He also commended the Buhari led Federal Government in securing a safe environment for the general elections.

Dr Chukwu Lauded President Muhammadu Buhari for providing a level playing ground for the peaceful conduct of the presidential and national assembly elections.

Dr Charles Chukwu commends the Government of Buhari for the efforts deployed so far to secure environment for the peaceful conduct of the general election.

“On this note, i’m of the firm belief that the most important issues confronting the country are economic and security issues. We pray that Almighty  will help the president-elect and his team to achieve the aspirations of all Nigerians, as we hope for a better country for us and generations yet unborn,” he said.
