The Hon. Member representing Gombi/Hong Federal Constituency and Chairman, Committee on Foreign Affairs, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Yusuf Buba Yakub, has condemned in very strong terms the attack on Dabna, a community in his Constituency, where several lives were lost and some wounded as a result of the Tuesday invasion of the peace-loving community by suspected bandits.

In a press statement sign and made available to the Press by Hon Nkem Anyata-Lafia Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs to the Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub.
While sympathising with the Government and people of Adamawa State, the District Head and the indigenes of Dabna, who lost loved ones, farm lands and properties in the attack, Buba said the attack was another sad reminder of how cheap the value of human life has become in not only the Northeast Zone, but across the country over the last one decade and ,especially, in recent times.

The Adamawa-born lawmaker and farmer, therefore, calls on government at all levels and the security agencies to rise to their duties in defence of Dabna and, indeed, other parts of Adamawa State from further attacks. He also called on the people to remain steadfast in prayers and be vigilant against the activities of cowardly insurgents, their kind and other merchants of death and destruction,who are in the habit of carrying out sporadic attacks on unarmed civilians, an act that offends all known Conventions on War and rights of the human person.

Buba,who used the opportunity to repledge total commitment and service to the welfare and safety of his entire Constituency, also assured the Constituents that help was on the way to assuage the pains of victims of the attack,while praying God to grant internal rest to all who lost their lives in the latest attack and to console those they left behind.
Among those who were confirmed dead in the attack as at Thursday morning are the following:
ABISON ALIYUDA,OBEDIENCE SYLVANUS,DERIC NEHEMMIA as well as LOT BENHAM. Others include:LINUS ALIYUDA,MONDAY USMAN,JASON ARASTUS,
ENOCK ARASTUS as well as LAWI INUSA. Again,others are BOY UMARU,ENOCK BENJAMIN,VANDU BITRUS,BITRUS PETER,EMMANUEL KAMBA as well as
ZAKARIYA DANIEL. The remaining are
BITRUS TITUS,ISAAC JONATHAN and
OBIDA ISHAYA.

While those that were wounded in the attack are the following: HABU ALIYUDA,GAMMANIEHANIEL ,GUNTU GAMMANIEL
as well as GEORGE CHARLES and
AJAYI DOGAYA. The above are currently accessing medical attention at various healthcare facilities and institutions around Hong Local Government Area and surrounding communities.
