Imo Guber: Igbo Youth Call Professor Okeke To Join  Race Under Labour Party

The Igbo Youth Assembly Worldwide, a socio-cultural youth organization and the assemblage of all Igbo youth both home and in diaspora, known for promoting National unity and peace have urged Professor Ndubuisi Gerald Okeke, a professor of Safety & Environment, and a certified health, safety & environmental specialist in the oil & gas industry and the Director of Services & HSE in Miradolf Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd in Nigeria to declare interest to run for the office of the governor of Imo state in 2023 under Labour Party .

Prof. Okeke Gerald Ndubuisi who is a native of Umulogho Obowo in Imo State, Eastern part of Nigeria, has garnered the much-needed experience and exposure in the corporate & public governance, oil and gas industry, spanning over a period of 35 years now and still counting.

Hon. Irekamba, the President general of Igbo Youth Assembly Worldwide who happens to hail from Imo state as well as Prof Okeke, described Professor Gerald Ndubuisi Okeke as a “man of his people and the youths. A man who whose integrity, Capacity and competence to rescue Imo State from economic and security woes.

Irekamba said the call became necessary not only for the youth but for the entire people of Imo State. According to him “The youth is appealing to you ‘Professor Ndubuisi Gerald Okeke to hearken to the voice of the youth and  join the November governorship race of Imo State in 2023.

“There is no doubt that Imolites need someone who has what it takes to govern. You are the man of our hearts. He said.

“The youth have found that you are a “competent, experienced, fair, youth-friendly and open-minded leader and compassionate .

“We do not need a soothsayer to tell us that Professor Okeke is the beacon of hope for Imo future,” he explained.

IYA Worldwide urges Imo people to rally around Professor Okeke, saying that the November 2023 Imo Governorship election should not be left in the hands of those who do not wish the people and state well.

“In this Imo 2023 Governorship election, we need a person, who is strong physically, intellectually, academically, and that person is “Professor Okeke” a game changer, soldier of morals, democracy archetype he stated.

Since, after the administration of late Samuel Onunaka Mbakwe, Imo State is yet to have a governor with the concerted effort devoid of personal interest to repair the Political, Social- Economical, Judicial, Infrastructural, Agricultural and Security Systems of the easthern heartland state, which is the hub of development.

Hence, Imo economic condition have over these precious years grown from bad to worse, penury is now tattooed on the faces of every inhabitant (Including animals) of the state, and insecurity has exaggeratedly become the most used word in Imo State.

A group of Igbo young progressive men and women with a burning interest for the good and the betterment of our dear state ‘Imo’ whose aims and objectives includes but not limited to ensuring the enthronement of good governance, studied the trajectory and it is in the face of all these abnormalities
in a bid to shop for the best candidate to ensure good governance, development, progress and security in Imo State.

“After our studies, we, THE IGBO YOUTH ASSEMBLY WORLDWIDE came to the conclusion that Professor Ndubuisi Gerald Okeke, is the most qualified amongst other aspirants jostling for the seat of Douglas House in terms of capacity, character, and competence.
