3The National leadership of the Labour Party (LP) has reiterated its earlier position that Calistus Uju Okafor who claimed to be a factional chairman of the people’s party by surreptitiously hoisting one Chief Digar Ezenwafor as its factional Presidential candidate for 2023 elections are both agents of destabilisation, sponsored by the rejected major political parties that have brought the nation to its knees.
The party leadership, in a press statement made available to newsmen in Abuja, castigated the spoilers’ role being played by the two failed major political parties which the Nigerian populace, particularly the youths have identified as the nation’s nemesis and national calamity.
“The facts speak for itself and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) records about the status of Labour Party, whether it is fictionalised or not are there for those willing to know the truth, aside Mr Okafor’s and his naysayers’ twitches to wreck the unstoppable moving train the Labour Party and Peter Obi have become.
“For the record, elections were duly conducted into the national offices of our great party at the demise of the national chairman, Alhaji Abdulkadir Abdulsalam which was covered by the INEC officials in the atmosphere of peace and was publicized in the national television and newspapers, globally.
“We’re used to incorrigible characters and treacherous moles like Okafor and their agents who are regularly sponsored either by government in power to truncate our resolve to rescue Nigeria from the clutches of ruthless and suffocating political parties that have made Nigeria poverty capital of the world.
“Nigerians were not surprised when Okafor’s first press statement was issued on the letter head of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), ridiculously claiming to be national chairman of Labour Party,” the press statement reads.
