Breaking: Terrorists Bombed Catholic Church, Kill Over 30 Worshippers In Ondo

Some gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen has reportedly attacked a Catholic Church at Owaluwa, Owo, Ondo State.

According to Osun Defender the gunmen detonated dynamite at the church premises and started shooting directly at church members.

Sources in Owo told the medium that over 30 people were killed while many people sustained gunshot injury in the attack.

The attack, according to the sources, happened around 11am.

The explosion suspected to have been caused by a bomb planted by terrorists has rocked a church in Ondo State, with a yet-to-be-ascertained number of people killed while scores were injured.

The incident was said to have occurred at St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

Hotmedia.ng gathered that the church is behind Olowo of Owo palace.

An eyewitness said, “I believe it was a bomb but the number of casualties is not known yet.”

Efforts to reach the spokesperson for the state police command, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, on her mobile line were not successful as she did not pick up. She also did not reply to a text message sent to her.
