Vote buying is not fundamentally new to Nigeria’s electoral politics, since the return of democracy to Nigeria in May 1999, vote-buying has steadily grown in scale and brazenness. What I have observed in recent elections is that a lot of people went to sell their votes. If for instance the people who have the power to vote to throw away their power and sell it for N3,000.00, why would such people blame politicians if such politicians fail to deliver on their electioneering? I think that same way people will be reluctant to sell their children, reluctant to sell their school certificates, the same way they should be reluctant or even rule out the idea of selling their votes.
In conclusion, he urges Nigerians to pray for a free and fair election, he also urge ordinary Nigerians to participate fully in the electioneering process.
