The National Coordinator of Amaechi Support Organization, ASO2023, Hon Engr Solomon Bambola Gowin has described the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi as the best replacement for President Muhammadu Buhari in next year’s general election, saying it is the minister’s destiny to run for presidency.
Engr Gowin also said ASO2023 had not embarked on proxy campaign, saying that Amaechi is interested in the presidency and that he will run for the office.
ASO2023 described Amaechi as the most competent, capable and prepared person, with leadership capabilities to lead a present day Nigeria.
“Amaechi possesses all the needed qualities to aspire to lead this nation. So, we are not forcing him to run. It is his destiny to run for president. From our own background checks and interactions, Amaechi is the candidate to beat in this election,” said The National leader of ASO2023
Speaking to Arise television in Eagles Square at All Progressive Congress, APC National Convention in Abuja over the weekend. Engr Gowin said the ruling party will be doing itself a world of good by having Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi to fly it’s ticket in 2023.
He said the Honourable minister for transportation is the only potential aspirant in the All Progressives Congress, APC, who is accepted across all sections of the country.
“We all want to see him run to douse all the tension emanating the South East/South South and his candidacy is sellable to all the regions of this country.
He is loved in the North, he is embraced in the South West, he belong to the South East and he is the son of the South South. So, he has all the aggregate support from the zones. He has all the qualities and ours is to prod him,” Engr Gowin added.
The National Coordinator ASO2023, Engr Gowin said Amaechi had acquitted himself creditably both as governor of Rivers State and as minister, supervised the infrastructural rejuvenation with tremendous work on the railway system across Nigeria.
He said, “As the Muhammadu Buhari administration nears terminal date, it is very clear that what the country needs now is a courageous, hardworking and widely accepted person with good knowledge of the system to carry on with the ongoing infrastructure rebirth and reforms that can ensure survival of the country in spite of multifarious challenges.
“Amaechi, undoubtedly, fits the bill.”
He described Amaechi as a detribalised Nigerian with the requisite widespread acceptance across the country’s ethnic nationalities.
Whether you like it or not, Rotimi Amaechi still stands as a viable person. He has the experience, and good health. Anybody we are considering today as President must be healthy. He said.
