2023: SDP Presidential Aspirant, Prince Adewole Adebayo Vows To Wrestle Power From APC, PDP

Information reaching Hotmedia.ng revealed that the most prominent aspirant of the Social Democratic Party SDP Prince Adewole Adebayo has declared ongoing collaboration of political parties in Nigeria to sack the ruling party APC and enthrone a government that will usher in good governance.

Prince Adebayo decried the nonchalant attitude of Nigerian leaders towards its citizens which was evident in their penchant for self-serving style of leadership.

The SDP presidential aspirant who addressed journalists shortly after declaring interest to join the 2023 presidential race stated that he is confident that with the new electoral act, his party and other platforms collaborating together will send APC packing at the ballot.

“Nigeria has so many problems but no solutions. The leaders know the solutions but they have deliberately ignored them, allowing the masses to suffer.

“The solutions are known but the leaders have been shying away from them. Nigeria require leadership that is why we are contesting under the platform of the SDP to provide the desired leadership,” Adewole said.

According to him, he decided to settle for SDP and discontinued discussions with the third force advocates, just so he could secure victory at the polls for the interest of Nigerian citizens, especially the poor masses whom his development plan actually covers their welfare, security and provision of basic amenities.

“I am in the SDP to win the presidential election for Nigerians. When that happens, Nigerians will see and experience quality leadership,” Adewole said, adding that SDP is the best platform for him and for Nigeria.

“We are coming with fresh men and fresh ideas. The problem of Nigeria is not what we have but how to manage it. In the past, when the resources were managed well, the country had a lot of money,” Adewole said adding that he will also protect the interest of women and youths.

“Women are part of the country. I have brought my wife here. The problem of women are the same problem of the country. The women want jobs, the women want security, they want a good society and they want freedom. Everyone wants that,” Adewole said.

Adewole described the prevailing fuel and electricity crisis as very unfortunate, contending that electricity can easily be generated and conveniently distributed if not for corrupt practices hindering efficiency and effectiveness.

“You generate power in your house through solar and electric generator. Why can’t it work for the entire country? The politicians in power don’t want it to work. This administration has no intention to sanitize these critical sectors of Nigerian economy he added.

Speaking further, Barr Adebayo raised concern over prolonged industrial actions emanating from inability of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the federal government of Nigeria to resolve differences surrounding payment of reviewed allowances. This problem according to him will be resolved soon after he emerges as president.

“It is a problem that can be solved through strategic engagement of the key officials involved in the ongoing negotiations. Nigeria is richly endowed with human and material resources, yet ASUU is on strike. I will ensure that the tertiary institutions are managed by the academia. As long as the non academic people continue to manage the universities, we will continue to have challenges in that important sector,” Adewole said.
