Abia State Polytechnic Students have Blocked the ever Busy Aba-Owerri Road in Aba, in Protest of its Students Raped by Police Officers attached to the RRS Unit in Aba, and continued Police harassment and Molestation of its students in General.

They are also Protesting 29 Months Salary Backlog owed its Lecturers, by the state government and the failure of the school to accredit some of the Engineering courses being offered in the institution.
The Lecturers are threatening to boycott the upcoming exams if their salaries are not paid by the state government, while the students have expressed fears of the consequences of a delayed exam especially for the graduating students and most importantly the prospects of not going for NYSC with regards to the unaccredited Engineering courses in the school.
