Senator Rochas Okorocha on Thursday gave reason he was absent during the visit of the president, major General Muhammadu Buhari (Retd) to Imo state.
Okorocha, a former governor of Imo state between 2011 and 2019, said that the incumbent governor, Hope Uzodinma, didn’t invite himfor Buhari visit.
Speaking to our correspondent, Okorocha’s media aide, Sam Onwuemeodo, said that Uzodinma and the state government were playing politics of hate, vendetta and intolerance.
Okorocha’s aide said it was unfortunate that Uzodinma could choose to ignore Okorocha when it was Okorocha who brought All Progressives Congress to South East and Imo state in particular.
He noted that Okorocha, had in a statement on Wednesday welcomed Buhari to the state yet Uzodinma chose not to invite him ( Okororcha).
Okorocha’s aide said ” senator Rochas Okorocha was not invited. Government of Imo state is playing politics of hate, vendetta and intolerance. The personal life style of somebody is different from how you behaves when you become governor. Okorocha was not invited even when he welcomed the president on Wednesday.”
