2023 APC Presidential Ticket: Top 4 Candidates In Buhari’s List For Consideration

As the Second Tenure of President Muhammadu Buhari gradually comes to an end, Top Politicians within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are already making moves to take over the mantle of leadership from the outgoing President. Below is a list of Top Four Allies of President Buhari that may emerge as the 2023 APC Presidential Candidate.

1. Professor Yemi Osinbajo (SAN)

Osinbajo, 64 is a trained Lawyer, Pastor, Academician and Politician. The Ogun State-born Nigeria’s Vice-President was a Two-term Attorney General of Lagos State between 1999 and 2007. Amidst the clamour for Yoruba Presidency, He might join the 2023 Presidential Race.

2. Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi

Amaechi, 56 is one of the closest Ministers to President Muhammadu Buhari, he has been serving as the Minister of Transportation since November 2015. The Rivers State-born Politician led the headed the Presidential Campaign Organization in 2015 and 2019 respectively. Amaechi has previously served as a State Assembly Speaker and a Two-term Governor.

3. Governor Yahaya Bello

At 46, Bello is the Youngest Serving Governor in Nigeria. The Civil Servant and Businessman turned Politician came into limelight after he emerged as Governor of Kogi State in January 2016. Bello is one of the few Nigerian Governors who have a cordial relationship with the President. Even though he is yet to publicly declear his Presidential Ambition, His Loyalist have started creating awareness.

4. Dr. Kayode Fayemi

Fayemi, 56 is another close ally of President Buhari who might succeed him in 2023. The Lecturer turned Politician is currently a Second-term Governor in Ekiti State, He doubles as Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF). Fayemi has previously served as Minister of Solid Mineral Development during Buhari’s First tenure.
